We have started work on the cupboards, we have added a light and a shelf to the cupboard under the stairs and given it a good tidy.

It has gone from this:

Then & now.... Spare room

This hasn't really changed apart from a tidy hehe but here's the then:

And now:

Then & now.... Nursery

This is how it looked when we moved in:

This is how it looked at the start of the project, although at that point it was already half done:

And this is it finished:

Then & now.... Bathroom

This is how the bathroom looked when we moved in (minus the mirror):

This is how it looked at the beginning of this project:

And this is how it looks now:

Again I am quite pleased with this room, however I would possibly like to change the pictures to some nice black and white prints.

Then & now.... Master bedroom

This is how the room was when we moved in:

This is how it was when I started the project:

And this is how it looks now:

I like the fact that it's a lot less childish, and it's lovely and relaxing now, we could still do with a new dressing table, but all in all I am very happy with this room.

Then & now.... Kitchen

This is how the kitchen looked when we moved in, in all honesty it's a lot tidier pre-dog:

This is how it looked when I started maternity:

And this is how it looks now:

We have touched up the paint, tided and got new toaster & kettle but other than that I haven't managed to get a whole lot done in this room.

Then & now.... Living room

Thought I would do a little then & now, since my due date is in a week & nearly all the decorating is finished for the time being.

First up is the living room, I found this pic of when we first moved in, so you can get an idea of how it originally looked:

This is how it looked when I started my maternity leave project:

And this is how it looks now:

I am really happy with what I have achieved considering the budget, although it's not a total transformation it is a lot cosier than it was. We have 2 more things to do yet, put up a mirror we have bought above the fireplace & I would like to replace the New York picture as I don't think it fits in with the room.

Project: Master Bedroom.... In progress

Finally the wall were we used to have a dart board has now been repainted:

And pictures are finally back up:

So yehy! Finally one side of the room is complete, now just need a new dressing table & we are done!

Project: Master Bedroom.... In progress

Today we got a new throw for the bed:

And the hubby has put us up some blinds, but they need refitting to the inside as they let a bit too much light through:

Project: Living Room ... In progress

Just a quick little post, finally got some new curtains for the living room & I love them, they make the room much lighter & brighter & were a total bargain.

I forget to add at the time, but we also got a new sofa to replace the broken old brown one:

Project: Master Bedroom.... In progress

Today we got some new bed covers & a new lampshade to start work in this room. I would have preferred a proper lampshade, but with the light fitting in this room the only type of lampshades that fit are the paper type, still I think it's looking more grown up already.

From this:

Haha excuse the unmade bed!

Project: Spare Room.... In progress

This is our spare room, as with all the rooms in our house, it started out as a plain magnolia room with no curtains and no lampshade.

The curtains we currently have up are some we bought cheap & not our favourite purchase. The theme I wanted to achieve in this room is a nautical theme. Originally I planned to paint one wall with dark blue stripes, but decided against it as if we move, any walls that we have painted have to be reverted back to magnolia.

I haven't called this project complete yet, as there are a few more finishing touches needed such as a rug, a better bedside table, a lamp & some nicer curtains.

Here are some pictures:

Project: Nursery - Complete

I don't have any photos of this room in it's original appearance, but basically it was just a plain magnolia square box.

This was my original inspiration, but we also wanted a jungle theme so we went for a mixture of both in the end:

This is the room finished & all ready for our new arrival, I hope you like it, personally I am very happy with it:

And the final touch:
